Tim Sweeny, Epic Games and People Can Fly

Genre : Battle Royale Video Game

Release date: July 21, 2017

Summary:

Fortnite is a survival game.  100 players fight  each other in player versus player combat to be the last one. It is a fast-paced game, full of  action-packed,  not unlike The Hunger Games, where strategic thinking is a must in order to survive. There are an estimated 80.4 millions players on Fortnite according to Gamertweak.

Critical Evaluation:

Tries to hook its users by selling online accessories that gamers need to continue playing successfully in the game. 'Skins', a uniform of sorts, requires gamers to pay for them and you even trade them like a  commodity with other online gamers. Although marketed for an adult audience, Fortnite is largely utilized as a cellphone game by teenagers.

Challenge Issues:

Violence

Defense: Library Bill of Rights and Los Angeles County Library Collections Policy.

Why I Chose It

It is really popular among teenagers.
